About our Wholesome Ingredients
Venison is an easy to digest protein source recommended for dogs with allergies. Venison is great for your dog's heart health and is a relatively lean meat, lower in calories, fat and cholesterol than many other types of meat. It is an excellent source of B vitamins as well as the minerals zinc, phosphorus, iron and copper.
Peas, Lentils and Chickpeas:
These “legumes” are excellent sources of energy and protein that have a low glycemic index and do not cause blood glucose (sugar) levels to spike right after ingestion. The reason to have more than one is that a dog’s system is likely to digest a variety of these legumes more efficiently than it would if there were only one or two of them.
Flaxseed is a good source of Omega-6 and Omega-3 essential fatty acids, which produce a soft, luxuriant coat.
The high quality pork meal used in Grandma Mae’s Country Naturals is an excellent protein choice for your dog. Pork is wholesome, nutritious, great for the digestive system–and dogs love it.
Suncured Alfalfa Meal:
Alfalfa, a legume and member of the pea family, is a good source of many nutrients including protein, fiber, trace minerals and vitamins A, B1, B12, C, D, E, and K. It is also known for its anti-inflammator
