Recommended Daily Feeding For Adult Dogs

Weight of Adult Dog When Feeding Canned Food Only (13oz / 368g can)
4 - 7 lbs (1.8 - 3.2 kgs) ½ - ¾ cans
8 - 12 lbs (3.6 - 5.4 kgs) ¾ - 1 cans
13 - 22 lbs (5.9 - 10 kgs) 1 - 2 cans
23 - 50 lbs (10.4 - 22.7 kgs) 2 - 3 ½ cans
51 - 100 lbs (23.1 - 45.3 kgs) 3 - 5 cans

Amount of food your dog requires will depend on activity, age, environment and breed.

For puppies, feed up to two times the recommended adult feeding amount by body weight. As your puppy gets older, gradually decrease the amounts to near adult levels.

Feed pregnant dogs 50% more during last three weeks of pregnancy. During lactation, dogs require twice the amount of an adult dog and should be fed three or four times a day.

Feeding Guidelines for Cats

When fed alone to adults, feed ½ cans per 6lbs (2.7kgs) of body weight per day, or 1 can per 12lbs (5.4kg) of body weight per day. For kittens: up to twice this amount, and pregnant or nursing mothers up to three times this amount. Feed twice a day, more frequently for kittens.
